Report by Max Poscente from the Himalayas.

This was one of the longer days of our trek towards base camp. Our destination today was Dradu Devta. The Gods of the Seraj Valleys are called Devta’s and stay at a wide assortment of Hindu temples, tree shrines, and sacred ground found throughout the Inner and Outer Seraj Valleys. Each village also has a local god known as devta. These deities have a fascinating history and play an important role in village affairs.

Today, it was a fair bit of up and down but our net climb was only a couple hundred feet higher in altitude. We hiked about 8.5 miles today. It took over 6 hours on the trail and one day closer to base camp.
