Image Psyche

by Vince Poscente

Put a child's finger painting on the fridge and a room feels different. Attach a window flag of your local hockey or basketball team during the playoffs and people feel different. Open your wallet, see a small picture of a loved one and your heart feels different. In all cases the feeling is instant and sustaining... ergo, let's explore this feeling.

A cutting edge artist, Chris Lattanzio said it this way, An image put in front of someone can affect their psyche. Judging by his art that goes for as much as $100,000 he ought to know. By using 3-D line art and his understanding of light, his innovative creations illicit a distinct and rapid response.

I went through a gallery of Lattanzio art recently and I watched people comment, Wow, that's cool. They would pause and look at each piece from different angles. Their psyche changed. People who wanted that feeling again                                                                       bought his art.

Lattanzio creates his art in a studio. Thomas Edison believed that if you want to invent you must build yourself an invention factory.

This factory can be in your mind, a designated space or a specific time of day. The principle is that with space for creation you can move your agenda forward.

Let's face it. You, me and everyone else have some form of an agenda. You want to have something for you, your job or your family. You want to build something. In order to meet your agenda you need to sell it.

I can't remember who said it first but everyone is selling something. The fastest way to sell something is to elicit a feeling in someone. An image can accelerate this feeling.

In a world that is struggling for stability and calm, Chris Lattanzio wants to influence the psyche of people and make at an impact. This piece to the right is sign language for LOVE.

I've got one in my office is a Lattanzio, sign language for PEACE.

Whenever I see it, it instantly changes my psyche. I think about peace. And here I am writing about it.

Hopefully by showing you this image it can bring a little peace in your world.
